Tracy Morgan delays NBA game after falling ill in courtside seat

Tracy Morgan, known for his roles in "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock," caused a brief delay during Monday night's NBA game between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat. The comedian fell ill while sitting courtside in the second half of the game at Madison Square Garden.

The game was paused for about 10 minutes with 6:09 remaining in the third quarter. According to the Associated Press, staff members worked to clean up the area around Morgan’s seat after the 56-year-old became sick.

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden shared a statement with Entertainment Weekly, saying, "We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside." No additional details were provided about his condition.

Some news outlets published images that appeared to show Morgan vomiting, and reports suggested that he was taken out of the venue in a wheelchair. His representatives have not yet responded to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment.

After the game, Knicks player Josh Hart sent his well wishes to Morgan. "First and foremost, obviously we hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan," Hart said, according to the AP. "He’s a lifelong Knicks fan, so our prayers go out to him for his health and safety."

Morgan’s health scare at the Knicks game comes just weeks after Jennifer Hudson was accidentally hit in the face by a stray ball while attending an NBA game at Madison Square Garden.

Currently, Morgan is working on an NBC comedy pilot, reuniting with Tina Fey. Fey, along with her "30 Rock" colleagues Robert Carlock and Sam Means, will serve as executive producers on the project.

Additionally, "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe recently joined the cast of the show, which follows a former football player trying to restore his reputation.
